General George C. Marshall was Time magazine's Man of the Year twice. He led the U.S. Army to victory in World War II, served as Secretary of State and of Defense, and even led the American Red Cross. But his greatest legacy is his vision for and leadership of what came to be called the Marshall Plan, America's historic investment in rebuilding the economies of Western Europe.
General Marshall and his wife called Dodona Manor home. Today, the 19th-century house and gardens are lovingly tended, all preserved as a living reminder of his inspiring leadership. We invite you to tour the house, visit the garden (General Marshall was an avid green thumb) and revisit a moment in time when American leadership saved democracy and preserved peace during troubled times.

Walk-ins are welcome, but please check our online schedule to make sure we are ready to welcome you.
Tours are about 75 min. Tell your docent if you have any time restriction.

Join our volunteers for a special tour of the grounds of Dodona Manor. Find out how Katherine and George Marshall updated the property, visit all the memorials and statues around the site and see all the flowers and trees up close. The gardens and grounds are lovingly attended by the incredible volunteer garden team of the Marshall Center and they are thrilled to share their work with you!
Tickets must be purchased by the Friday before the tour to attend. No walk-ins.

Parking
Parking is available at 312 East Market Street, Leesburg, VA 20176 and at town and county garages in proximity to Dodona Manor. We ask that you do not park at the Manor itself to help us preserve it.
